Q?What are the applicable rates for the service?
A.

Parents do not pay any charges. However, we will collect the tution fee from the parents after the tutor have completed the required numbers of hours for each tution assignment. Thereafter, the fees will be payable to the tutor directly.

Q?How long do I need to wait before I can be assigned a home tutor?
A.

Our co-ordinator will expedite your request promptly to assign a tutor within 3 working days.

Q?How do I verify the tutor’s qualifications?
A.

The tutor will bring the relevant qualification certificates for your verification on the 1st lesson. Please contact us promptly should there be any discrepancy.

Q?Am I allowed to request for a change of tutor?
A.

Yes. Home Tutor Singapore is committed to meeting your needs for engaging a suitable home tutor. In the unlikely event that the assigned tutor is found to be unsuitable, Home Tutor Singapore will arrange for a replacement.

Q?How do I make payment to Home Tutor Singapore?
A.

You can make payment by cheque or money transfer via internet banking or ATM. Once payment is made, please inform Home Tutor Singapore through SMS or e-mail so that we can issue you a receipt.

Q?Is there a joining fee to register as a tutor with Home Tutor Singapore?
A.

No, there is no joining fee.

Q?How can I apply as a tutor with Home Tutor Singapore?
A.

You can apply to join our pool of qualified tutors by completing our online Tutor Registration Form.

Q?What is the minimum qualification requirement for tutors?
A.

At least A Level & Diploma qualifications & above. All tutors have to be at least 18 years old, and either a Singaporean or Permanent Resident.

Q?Do I need to show proof of my qualifications?
A.

We require you to bring your certificates (Original or Certified True Copies) on the 1st lesson for verification by the parents.

Any tutors found to misrepresent his or her qualifications will be blacklisted in our database and denied existing and future assignment placements with Home Tutor Singapore. Any outstanding tuition fees will be forfeited.
